  1. So..  I get some double triggering when realtime record from my controller..   I can't really figure it out.   I felt it could have something to with the 'live forwarding' parameter but I cant be sure

    has anyone run into this?

when playing the controller liveinto the midi box ill get some double notes sounding on a particular step in time, but the recording only captures one of those two triggers.

  2. so...I had a really good idea for modifing patterns..   drawing from the tb303/ quicksilver/ avalon bassline whos sequencing separates note and timing information:

If you were able to 're-groove' patterns by overwriting timing information into a pattern (but leave the notes intact)

like if you go to time mode in a quicksilver/avalon while its playing back the pattern and you can press either 'note' 'tie' or 'rest'  each time advancing thought the number of steps in the sequence overwriting whatever was in there previously.  with those 3 buttons you can completely re-groove a pattern on the fly without changing the note information, but instead just shifting it around in interesting ways.

I can upload a video example

  3.  so im curious.. Is there any way to now transpose chord with the encoders by changing the root note?

what I mean is..   If I have a C minor chord can I use a knob upwards to make it D minor ? and up again to make it E minor  that kind of thing?

  4.    Im going to post this here only because Ive been dreaming of this  (modulate step trigger advancement from another track)

especially interesting if you could not only advance but transpose with the modulator track

     sh101/jx3p style sequencing

  5. would this still be possible to implement?  I would be over the moon with this feature..   one cool thing would we to do it like the way the Midipal does it..  ie, if you play middle C into the 'stepper' sequence it advances the sequence, but if you play any other note it would transpose the advancing sequence accordingly.

  6. okay editing in mios..  setting up function buttons..   I setup live forwarding as a function button and it also seems to act as a cycle erase when I press a key while its cycling though..

handy!  is it supposed to do this?

is there a dedicated cycle erase function that will erase with just a button?

  7. fixed..  all good

but now.. back to the original question..  it has version .091 in there now.. the F3 button should be defaulting to toggling rec on and off.  but seems to be set to a layer select function.

where/ how do I get to the hardware setup file?  can I put my SD card into my computer and access it from there?   or do I have to do the file editing in mios?

  8.   the problem is im not getting connection between the mios application and my midibox..   im using an maudio midi interface plugged into the in1 and out1 ports but its not detecting any hardware so it wont let me upload anything.

looks like mine is the STM32F4.. so yes I screwed it up by feeding it the wrong hex file.

do I have to press a button on the core chip or anything like that?

    It says 'can't find core'

  9. so I installed the mios app and it was connected fine tried to install this file thinking it was part of the os update:  MBHP_CORE_STM32

now the screen is blank and cant get it to connect.

my SD card is not easy to access thats why I tried to use the mios app  instead of accessing the card directly from my laptop. Im guessing this file is not part of the OS after all   aaargh.

I tried plugging in a midi interface into input 1 and output 1, but still says 'no response from core'

is the problem with the files on the SD card or have I somehow interrupted the processor?

    what do I do now?

  10. Im on 090 wilba.  I tried to update to 091, but I only got as far as installing mios, then I kinda got lost.

so now if I want to access the hardware setup file to change the buttons I can do it from the panel of the midibox? or do I have to do it from the MIOS application?

    sorry for the noob questions.

  11. so like the title says,  trying to emulate the action of the onboard sequencer in a JX3p or sh101  ie,  enter some notes and chords into the 16 steps,   but then have the sequence advance only by means of a trigger from a midi note..  (the roland used a trigger input.. even better if that were possible)

any ideas for a workaround that could achieve a similar result?   could this be implemented?
