No, you don't need to install more than setup 8580 or 6581 relating to the sid chip you use.

    Do you know/use this panel?

Hello friend, sorry for the delay, I had a week of hellish work in the workshop.

I understand that setup is enough.

I have tried the panel that you comment from ableton live configuring midi in midi out, but it has not worked, maybe I should use some previous version of CTRL?

  2. Hello, today I took a big step, I managed to install the bootloader, then install mine and later the file midibox_sid_v2_044, I'm trying to investigate what is sid_filter_table.hex setup_sammich_sid.hex, I don't know if I should install them too.

The project sounds, I tried with ableton and get to hear an oscillator and send notes. I was testing with the CTRL guide to be able to handle more parameters by running the program under ableton live as a vst, but I haven't gotten it to work yet. Little by little . Some of you have worked some graphic version to control the midibox_sid program.

    Greetings And happy Thursday!   :)

    Indeed.

There is no magic setting up this thing, you just need to follow the instructions here http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_sid_walkthrough.html at

    Setup the Core ...

    Now you need to up...

Hello friends, I have been reading the instructions well, I thought I was roasting the microprocessor badly.
The story is that it is a project of my Father, he is 65 years old or older. XD, he bought it to do the V2. and also the minimum project with which I am now helping you. Today I discovered, after coming from  fk!$ the doctor,  :) the problem, the female din5 connector, you only have 1, 3, 5 pin. I could never get in touch with the core, maybe wireless. Tomorrow, if my ankle allows me, I'll go find a din5 with all the pins. Sometimes we look for problems where they don't exist. Just putting the oscilloscope on pins 2 and 3 of the octo was enough to see that there was no sign of a signal.

Tomorrow I will tell you how it is, I am very grateful for your comments.

    Hey,

What do you mean by "deleted" exactly? What does the LCD or "Mios Studio 2" report if you connect Midi In and Out to the PC as soon as you switch on the core? And yes, the boot loader comes up first (it has its own address)

Note: here are some useful docs/infos:

I go to the doctor now, then I make some screenshots about my studio and the lcd screen.

    hi.

you don't really need to burn if you still have a bootloader on the pic. the upgrades also go through midi ..

PS: But if you really want to "burn", several things are crucial. I would recommend that you take a new PIC for testing and not this one that's already baked.. in any case then do not use the file in the "midi" folder.

    Greetings,

    I have this pcb.

My pic was deleted several times, but it's still functional, I didn't know that there was a bootloader inside, so what do I need to leave my pic like the one in the photo? I charge a bootloader first?

greetings and thanks for helping this newbie!

    hi and welcome,

Do you want to drive an update? Is there already firmware on it? Then it is possible to upload the firmware (newer bootloader or newer mbsidv2) via midi.

What response do you get when you use mios studio 2, connect and set "midi in" and "midi out" for your device and you press the "query" button for example for "device ID:" 0?

But please don't load a hex file for it yet ... first you need to look at which ID and version the PIC is responding.

    Greetings!

I am going to start the process from the beginning, the pic will be deleted with the programmer, I have the pic and the programmer to burn the file you tell me.

I am lost in this. What should I do first?

    Thanks and best regards friend!

  7. Hello friends, I am new and this is my first project, I bought midibox sid2, the small version.

My odyssey is to load the necessary software inside the pic, I have a USB charger that supports this IC.

I would like to know what HEX file I have to load into the PIC or if I have to load several. I've been reading something about a bootloader (bootloader_v1_2b_pic18f4685.hex.) I also have a file inside a folder called midi. Please, if someone can explain the loading sequence of the software, it would make me a father.
