It looks better than some commercial products I've seen :o
great job, Steve

David, what laptop are you talking about? I'm having trouble with Gericom, model Hummer.

PCB for LOOP the sections
Wise, what software do you use for PCB layout?
-
I sent them email in order to find where those can be bouught and they didn't respond at all...
that was almost 2 years ago

Wise, how are you going to implement mid-low and mid-high eq kills?
Xone mixer doesn't have kills
-
I would add 4th pot for EQ to support Xone simulation (Bass/Mid1/Mid2/High)

Hello
gbeth, I would like to get those pdf files if possible. here is my email: rogic13 at hotmail dot com
the reason we would like to put modules on one board is that we would like to minimize cable making
for module interconnections (and to avoid bad soldering), and to make bigger SIL sockets so we can use
hard-drive cables (20 pins) betweek modules and interface

Hello,
a freind wants to make new midibox 64 or 64e, we're not sure yet, but we want following modules:
1 CORE
1 LTC
1 AIN
2 DIN
1 DOUT
and we're considering to put everything on one PCB board.
does someone has and eagle file or picture of such combined PCB?
thanks

what exactly midibox is PayC's MB64E?
I see on ucapps.de that it has only support for encoders & buttons ??? what about pots ???
-
:o :o :o :o :o :o
that's most impressive (and by my opinion best) midibox I've EVER seen! :o
maybe lights should be more discrete... but everything looks f* GREAT! :o
PayC, can we get some additional info? How pots and buttons are mounted?
Is that a plexiglass material laser-cut and a sticker for labels on it?
-
machinate, there are also caps for joysticks on that site, they look like a ball; do a search and you'll find them

one of the strangest midi controller i have ever seen!!
Haven't seen something this stupid for so long...
You loose one hand just to hold this thing? ??? ??? ???
-
It isn't a rotary encoder. I found your problem when testing the knob out. So I assigned it to deck seek position instead, which I find is probably a better substitute. The pitch bend buttons can act as the wind function as well.
Hm, how do u use pitch bend buttons as wind-buttons? Is that the same function or?

forget about parallel port, easiest solution is to buy COM->USB
converter and install drivers for COM port as if you have COM port
I have toshiba laptop which has no COM ports, only USB.
this works excellent, however I am not sure if there is any
latency involved ???

believe it or not, I ripped mine from this:
http://members.rott.chello.nl/mlampers/images/Programmable_TV_game.jpg
:P
and the pots are 50k, not 10, and it works perfectly
-
why don't you buy one ready-made?

Sasa,
don't know if you know about this store:
http://www.monselektronik.co.yu/
they accept catalogue orders from big suppliers' (conrad, etc.) so you can order and get any component
within one week. I've ordered some faders and caps for faders for my midibox.

That really looks great, how does it work live? I have been searching for a good quality controller for a few years and this looks the most user friendly yet, I would love to buy a unit like that if it did the job well and allowed Traktor to be controlled fully hands on (apart from selecting tracks of course)
We've done 4 parties with completed midibox, and there were no problems. Each time the box was on for 4-6 hours (not even Traktor crashed)

regarding prints on frontpanels,
did someone find any 'special paper' foil-like which can be put in ink-jet or laser printer and get a self-adhesive printout for a frontpanel?
I assume something like that exist, I saw special papers for T-shirt printings...

Hi all,
been searching around the forum but couldn't find information about non-detended encoders WITH a button. I suppose everybody is ordering ALPS, so if you know which one should I order, please give me a hint.
These are the distributors I can order from:
