  1. i've 2 multimiter, analog and digital. i've try them on a cheap variable PSU from 3V to 12V, at 12V they both misure 17,1V, at 9V they both misure 13,2V.. =( i've 3 C64 Psu: AC9.4 DC4.9 / AC9.8 DC11.1 / AC9.6 DC4.8 fi the meter is out align how can i test it? :-\ tnx stryd for help mumble mumble: i've 12.5 after rectifier of 9VAC, than 8.5DC after 7809, but if i connect +5VDC to Terminal 2 of 7089 i will have always 8.5DC ??? all ok, i'd lost ground connection after 7809.. now is 11.5.. low.. argh too low! :'(
  2. thanks, i try always to do a lookin' good circuit.. now the question is: 4.9DC and 8.5DC are not enought for the CORE/SID? :-\ this are the best Voltage that i've from one of the 3 C64 PSU that i've.
  3. arf... arf..... after days.. weeeeks... months.... YEARS of work and study, i've finally finished my SID's board. thansk TK for the help! i'm writing a tutorial that i'll post when i'm shure that the SID is working good. tomorrow i'll test it, now i'm too tired ;)
  4. yes i use exactly this one, but some time you have to sold some tin on the cap's terminals because this are too thin for the hole.. instead i prefer use this solution for 78x: :)
  5. I've do exactly same thing on mine monoSID, with pinhole header solder oveturned :)
  6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable_capacitor ;D
  7. I know that there are some particular foots to solder on Vectorboard for mounting elements, Caps Res and Transistors, directly on them, so you can change it with other one. In ex. the Caps Filter for 6581 or 8580. Who can suggest me where i can find and buy? Thankyou
  8. uhm.. so, if we realize an Optimized c64 PSU for SIDs, and we left out the SID rectifier, 7809 of psu and 7812/7809 of sid are cascaded.. uhm..
  9. thanks! i go to study ;D
  10. Thankyou TK. I've just another quest, the Caps C3 C4 C5 C6 of the Core module can be left out like 7805 when i use the Optimized C64 PSU circuit? I think this because i connect it to j2 and +5/ground go out near this Pins, and not after Caps on the Core. Thankyou for your patience.
  11. Since i'm not inside electronic i've a quest that i can't answare. The 12V that require BC547, are for both Sid 8580 and 6581? Or i must change to 9V like Vdd for 8580? Thankyou guys
  12. :D sorry, you're totally right!
  13. i don't speak so much on this forum but.. WTF! A DIY vocoder by MIDIBOX.. amazing :) I'm just at this point with my SID :-X (Arranging Parts on Vectorboard) TK and Razmo, i've read all this thread with wikipedia open in firefox tab next to te forum to understand all what you are speaking about. Isnt' a good solution make some preset switch for env, trought the value that not are affected by the env bug? If i've understend in some case it work well, in other not.. or i'm wrong?
  14. 1. 6581 R1 '82 '83 '84 2. 6581 R2 '83 '84 3. 6581 R3 '85 4. 6581 R4 '86 5. 6581 R4AR '90 corrected by Razmo 6. 6582A '92 updated by Razmo 7. 8580R5 '87 to 92 something like this?
  15. If some one have a 6581 r3 or r4 or r4ar or a simple 6581 year of production '83 (very rare for me, never find), can play same patch (and same note :P), if Razmo give it to him, for comparing? ;)

    9v 6581 E?

    ;D so do you know if inside a c64c with normal f1 f2 position there is always a 6581r3 or r4 inside, or i can find all three relese before 8580r5 with no chance to identify without open? thankyou!
  20. How to realize the Front Panel like Mojo did by yourself: 1) Print on sticker's Polyester paper by inkjet printer the Panel image. 2) Gule it on a trasparent Polycarbonate (not plexyglass), pay attenction to not leave air bubble. 3) Than glue on a sticker trasparent Film for cold millwork (i don't know the exact term), pay attenction to not leave air bubble too. May you use a roller to lay flat. 4) Now you can drill your hole on the panel how you prefer and cut the LCD hole with a cutter. That's all. Translate by 'very poor english ganchan dictionary'. ;D

  22. :o 8) ::) ;D sorry, i havent' find this feature reading the site.
  23. happy TK that xt had help you a little, this is was i hope. so a little, not so important but cool push button of xt is this: if you turn an encoder, lfo1 in ex., and contemporary push sync button, the display go directly to lfo1 menu. this is a little help some time, but i think not many ppl can enjoy.. or not? i've think that there will be the possibility to choose in the main menù, if you want that lcd show the current setting of the used encoder's module (widthout pushing any button, not like xt) or just the normal way of use. ::)
