  1. Hi Tobias,

thank you for releasing the windows driver! :)

I would like to test it, but don't know how to use the RTP-MIDI protocol on iPad.

Are there undocumented functions available in iOS, or did you implement the protocol stack for iOS as well?

    Best Regards, Thorsten.

    Hi Thorsten,

unfortunately Apple did not implement the stack within iOS. So I had to reimplement it in Objective C...

    Best regard,

    Tobias

  2. Hi everyone,

as I have recently discovered your discussion concerning network-MIDI,

I just wanted to give you guys a short hint, that I have just uploaded the

first public release of my network MIDI driver.

This driver is meant for Windows XP up to Windows 7, supports 32bit

and 64bit and is compatible to the network MIDI driver included in

    every OS x since "Tiger".

If you are interested to give it a try - just take short look at my new website:

    www.tobias-erichsen.de

    Best regards,

    Tobias

  3. As those keybeds are quite common, i thought that someone

around here had already played around with them a little and

could provide me the information, but if this is not the case,

I will be contacting them directly - it's a shame that they don't

    have any website or contact-email-address.

I just brought their new catalog from Musik Messe in Frankfurt

and there is no indication that they have any connection to

the internet - very uncommon these days ;-)

    Tobias

PS.: the new keybed they showed at Musik Messe (TP 400)

is about the best electronic keybed I have had my hands on

so far - so if anyone is into playing piano - this is the one

    to try out...

  4. Hi,

have you guys ever thought about building a small ethernet/wireless lan <> midi device?

I have written a network-midi driver for windows, which you can currently use to connect

multiple computers via (virtual) midi over the local network.

It would be nice to have a real backend to connect synthesizers etc.  With wireless you

could even have the added benefit to work cableless (though wifi is a power-hog ;-)

    Tobias

PS.: I'll release the driver publically a couple of weeks after the CeBIT is done, as soon

as I have time to finish a couple of small open topics...

  5. I'm currently writing a Windows device-driver which

supports the P1639 spec. For Linux and Mac there

    already exist such drivers...

The only missing link is someone building a hardware-

    interface ;-)

  6. Hi everyone,

I'm currently investigating building a keyboard

which has polyphonic aftertouch. To do this, I

need to put a force-sensitive resistor under

each key. Unfortunately these parts cost between

    4 and 10 Euro/Dollar. As I want to equip an 88

key keyboard, this would be a little expensive,

so I'm looking for a cheaper source - does

    anyone have any pointers?

    Tobias
