What forum article ?
I never mentioned a forum article ?
Email em and ask i dobt very much they would be pissed off if you did that TK
NAS

I didn't say you were pissed off
I said these guys THINK THAT
I will get them to contact you Wilba
And of course i know its all just a bit of fun
Any new DIY synth is cool we all know that

Come on guys lets give these guys a break
They have built the plugin in Synthmaker and i am a beta tester and moderator of the forum for that package
They havent robbed any of TKs design
They where going to contact Wilba to see if he has any spare SIDs left but they are actually too scared now cause they think they have pissed you guys off
They are really really great guys i can confirm that and im looking forward to having a Hyper working with my MIDIbox SIDs soon and very shortly after that two Wilbabeasts too
PS they showed me this thread when i pointed them at MIDIbox and i am a little gutted that this is the first thing they have seen of our community here
They never had any intentions of stepping on anyones toes and to be perfectly honest we are all very proud of them over at the Synthmaker community
The plugin is free
The PCB design can be downloaded free
The firmare for the pic can be downloaded for free
But they have kept the option to build some units and sell them commercially for what i would say is a very fair price in reality

Sounds Amazing 8)

Yep lookin forward to gettin in on the second run of boards and gettin these kits off Smash
I don't think i would of ever built any MIDIbox stuff if it weren't for Smash ;)
-
Woah
I've been out of the country working and only recently found out i was too late to get in on the original PCBs
PM Sent to Wilba to apologise

I'm up for a base kit and a control kit
cheers
-
Yep i want a set of both PCBs too ;)
-
Probably the coolest thing i have seen since i first found Ucapps way back when ;)
Brilliant just brilliant
-
Aaaaah sorry TK
Not knowing enough about the compromises made it a very silly suggestion :(
-
This may be impossible but here goes anyway
It would be cool if you could make the synth sub system a bit more modular
For instance if we wanted to swap out one of the core/SIDs for a core/FM we could
Or even a core/Speakjet if that happens :)
I'm just thinking an 8 SID is gonna be superb and i can't wait
But think of a 4 SID 1 FM 1 Speakjet as a kind of MIOS super synth
To be honest with those two both together would be a great couple of monster synths to me :)
Like i said probably pretty stupid but i'm all about saving space and cost of cases and buttons and such heheheheheh
-
That is a quote i like :)
I just got myself a bag of caps to do this to my old boards
If i can work it out and do it right i'll take some pics ;)
I can't help with more documentation though because i don't really understand enough :(
-
I've never had problems using USB 1 for audio, Thats 2 or 4 channels (1 Stereo 2 Stereo)
Must be a pretty bad attempt at a driver from Behringer which in reality is a total f**k up on there behalf
They actually delayed and delayed this product and told suppliers it was so that the finished article would be perfect
Sounds far far from perfect to me :(
-
:o
nice one, just what i've still been looking for, now i got three in a row ;) and your right, this one is quite simple
NAS if nothing goes wrong, i'll put some stuff about CV-modding on the wikiii
Your a diamond ;)

Moebius
Sorts me and a lot of others out way too often :-[

Oh just wanted to add that i can't stand that putfile crap, It always ends up gone in the long term and this should all be preserved for future new users because it's great stuff.
If you want some space to post your demos and schems let me know
I already host some for Xbox and i have a hell of a lot of space for my business ;)
I'm happy enough to write a little page about your project if you like ?
-
Is there anyway to control the pitch on that bass with a CV ?
It would be a cool bass generator for drum n bass :)
Sorry i don't know too much about electronics i'm a tinkerer hehehe, I was just wondering if you could replace the 10k pot of the pitch directly with a little circuit that took a CV and converted it to resistance ?
Or would it need a complete redesign to use voltages rather than resistance ?
Sorry if this is a stupid question :(
-
I'm in for the $70 400 button route
Cheap as f**k to be honest

http://jledger.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=dtvhacking
A good search of that forum will show you how to add any port you want including a user port to the Hummer but no user port on a DTV :(
You will find all the flashing info and apps there too and MMC add ons and so on ;)
Somebody already has a P64 thread going so maybe join in on that ?
I haven't posted yet because i haven't even opened my DTV PAL yet
Too busy with MIOS and other stuff at the minute :)
Hope that helps a bit

Sorry no, Just spare parts for the MIDI mod so i can MIDI up my DR 110 :(
I'm looking around now for etching services, I can't work with chemicals at all :(
Even the solder when i'm soldering makes my fingers get a rash
I did look at the iron on stuff but somebody told me that they are rubbish
It's a bugger really because i really want to have a go at Hallucinogens project but if i cant get the layouts and schematics from a CAD package then no commercial place will make the boards DOH
That in turn means i may aswell do the layout again and sort of defeats the point of doing his project hahahahah
Hopefully i will find somewhere that will do small runs off the artwork :)
-
Just wanted to add my interest here too ;)
Just found out that i can get some spares from that company that did the internal MIDI mod for the DR110, They say they have enough to nearly make me a full kit and i can source the rest anywhere :)
Just need to find a second DR110 to hack it into.
Are you thinking of having some of these PCBs manufactured ?
I can probably cover something like five sets maybe more :)
-
C64 DTV and Hummer are the two types but there are also Pal and NTSC DTVs but only NTSC Hummers.
Your shit out of luck if you want good SID performance though, Jerri didn't implement the filters in her emulation :(
So anyway i'm in the middle of hacking a PAL DTV and try to get P64 working by reflashing it onto the board, Then i'll stick it into a box with a real analogue filter ;)
Should be cool if i can get P64 to work :)
-
Yeah i'm not going by his posts but by his website ;)
He has finished the second version so lets not right him off because he doesn't post here very often :)
-
Looks like Sheepslinky is going to be making kits for the new version ?
Hopefully it will make it to MIOS aswell though :)
NEW SID hardware on the block, thoughts? (hypersid)
