Turning a pot, made my sequencer program crazy
moxi replied to Alex101's topic in Testing/Troubleshooting
maybe you have the play and stop function of your app assigned to a midi controler , try to change the CC no of your connected pot to another one... -

hi , for the 64 ain ,no matter ,but in order to have 64 aout ,you will need 8 Aout module ,so you will need 8 core!! to have so many analog output , you must use the MBHP_SHX8 board ,that can handle 64 outputs .i suppose that one core can only handle one of such a board ,so you will need at least two CORE ,but ,as it's mentionned on the site ,only the MIDIbox64 support this board. It's mentionned : so ,be sure before to be abble to do such a project (what kind of gear do you have? if it's a modular synth ,i want to see it!!!)

just to point you another idea :it's a thing i've tried on the french version of the forum ,not with a great success, it' true: http://69.56.171.55/~midibox/forum/index.php?topic=4081.0 better than another shop , i was thinking some days ago about creating a place for exchange and free parts ,where you can give the part that you will probably never use . such a thing much be done by country ,cause of the shipping cost ,but it's possible ,and ,as when you look for cheaper parts ,from second hand market(etc...) ,you often find more parts than you needs . the code are free ,maybe it's possible to make the parts "open source" too ,and the cheaper will be the midiboxes to buid , the harder it will be to make money with them ....

Hi, i'm trying to finish my mb64e ,whith an nokia display ,but i can't see anything on the screen one time i upload the app. my screen work ,with the test app ,with the Mbox LC and with the Mb64 ,but not with the one i want!!! >:( have i to center the screen in a particular way? i'm thinking about switching to the LC app in General Purpose Mode ,but i'm not sure it's possible to navigate and handle it with only one LCD .. ?

Great thanks ,30 minutes of your time is a big gift ,i will do what needed to finish that by myself ..

Hi Thorsten, you say : It's the change to be done in SEQ_MIDI.inc , eg : but such a change will only be effective in slave mode ,no? it's why i'm asking in the precedent post how to make the function waiting for the first step (and the first clock) .. more test needed ...but it's the week-end...

:D hi tatapoum ,i don't see that is you that post this one!

hi ,i've solved this matter placing the menu buton at the center of my seq ,so i can enter the menu pages with one hand (but two fingers!) . and for my second SEQ ,the menu page will be reached with encoders with switch (the additionnal cost is not important, if you buy the SmashTV ones).if i don't success with the code tweaking ,i think i will simply link the MENU buton with the encoders switchs ,as Tatapoum have done for the fast function in his SEQ. you can change the buton behaviour so it will be active only when you press it ,so no mistake possible (it's in the main.asm) T.K. :always trying to do much ,i was thinkiin some days ago about the possibility to add one rotary encoders at each line of buton of my next "beast" ,that can tweak directly the setting pointed by the menu page selected ,but i want to know before if the seq can handled different change for each track at the same time (e.g. transposing one track down and a second one up)? secondly ,i've made "seq_butons.inc" and the "mios_tables" to drive 64 individual butons , here is any real interest (for performance) in doing a "butons matrix" ,as you explain in the 64 buton matrix example?

non. mais t'as tout dit!! ;)

Yes ,is too much ,maybe to expensive if you build it with oakley PCB ,it's just cause i want a great great filter, just to have a beautifull thing , and cause it's one of the thing i must often use when playing .And it's why i try to do one with more simple schematic ,that you can build without buying special PCBs . you can easily find schematic for this one (or similar) ,there is some link before on this topic, but i don't know the difference with the filtrex one ,all are based on the same design . on this page you will find the schematic for the VCAs you can use to drive the rezo and an envellope generator ,but i found the filtrex not really expensive ,as it already include the enveloppe and two LFO ,and building each of them separatly can cost more! http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/vca.html (thank to the one here that give the link! ;))

hi , finally ,the divide function isn't suitable for this ,cause it doesn't work in an relative way ,and there is no way to get all the divide parameters of each track. So ,i' ve done my HALF BPM function : as the seq enter in SLAVE MODE below 50bpm ,the /2 operation only happen if your tempo is upper 100bpm ,and as 255 is the max tempo ,the x2 function only happen if your tempo is below 127. here is the code i've done : the "MOXI_MEM1" is just to ensure that the 2*multiply function isn't done if you realease the buton when the half function was avoided (if tempo is below 100bpm). this function work ,but sometimes ,after some navigation (switching between solo ,pattern...) do false operation ,or always set my bpm to a tempo that correspond to nothing . i think the operation is sometime done on a value loaded into W by other routine ,so i've done the same thing using file instead of W but it doesn't solve my problem... for now ,the function work fine ,so you can try it ,just adding the "MOXI_MEM1" in your app.define and the function in seq_butons.inc . and then help me.... :) secondly ,i want this function to be synced with the first step ,and i've try to use this way : and the following : maybe i have to take the value of the step played when the buton is pressed ,then start a kind of counter ,but how to let other function (especially the run!!!) be working ,waiting for the pointer reach the first step?
