  1. SMD sockets? Kinda defeats some of the purpose really... :) I've never really seen them used and had some time in board manufacture with loads of SMD projects....the only SMD style sockets I can remember using were on larger programmable PLCC style chips. Hmmm.... good luck with your search. Try here: http://www.globalsources.com/manufacturers/SMD-Socket.html
  2. So have any of you Oz doods got working controllers up and running? I'm seriously weighing it up. Sourcing motorised faders is a cost challenge. The other option is to mod a BCF2000, it's a load of gear for a cheap price and not too hard to mod. Thoughts? The lack of touch sensitive though is a bummer. In Oz you can get s/h Mackie CUs for about $1k. How do you reckon the midibox compares cost wise for any of you who may have built one? Thanks for any input.
  3. G'day James, have you looked at the Behringer controllers? If hardware is a challenge for you then this may be an option. As for the midibox project... it does look very good. Nice to see some Oztralians! Cheers!
