[Making a drum module]

I have read the previous posts here, but I am confused. I searching through the source, I see several places where drums are mentioned. Not being a super programmer, i was wondering if there was simply one place to define the number of drum modules?

Not sure how much they cost yet, but they seem very nice. Any thoughts on using them as the ring leds? I know they have 15 leds and the ring led code currently is set for 11, how hard would it be to adapt to use 15? I havent really been able to follow the code as my mplab wont compile, and i have been trying to fix that first.

Has anyone tried to port mios to the newer pic24 series devices? It would seem a perfect fit, faster execution and much faster adc's to say the least.
