  3. hello stryd!! ;D ;D

I want to say thanks for you help.........I can see thing very clear now.  :D :D :D :D

Let me tell you that I have bought a USB pic burner.....and started making simple programms such as leds sequences......you know what I mean......newbie stupid things...... :)

On my way of learning how to programm my own MIDI code.....I would definitely need a few advises:

1- Should I keep programming with my actual IDE, or I should try something different?? Is boostc a good option???....I read that BOOSTC can be linked to MPLAB.

    Thanks. :)

  4. So.....with anjuta am I going to need another tool for programming the pic??

Would you be so kind to explain it a bit more please? I am already programming with anjuta, but I haven t found the way to burn the pic.....you know what I  mean?

I have read on UCAPPS where it says MIOS C reference that i will need SDCC and GPUTILS.

Should I programm in C++ over anjuta and then burn the pic with a windows aplication? I am confused.......................... :P

    Thanks Stryd.

  5. DAMN!!!.................... I am so far of doing some professional looking stuff :P :P :P :P...........cnc machines........a cool place to work where nobody asks you to put the tools back in place.............with no time schedules.......

Anyway, Sasha those button caps look very very very cool, I have to envy your tecnique and skills at work..........perhaps you could make a few photo tutorials of things like this to learn for the rest of the midiboxers. ;) ;)

    Greetings from Argentina.                                                              Milton

  6. ok then.............it is 5 AM in the morning here in Argentina, i will wait for the electronic shops to open and go to buy the missing components.

Other point I would need someone to help me understanding is the BANKSTICK.

I have read all data on the wiki, but I do not know where to start programming; my MB64 has 3 square buttons on the right part (check the photo on page 1), how can I make them to change the bank when pressing them?

  7. thanks for your reply Markus, i have bought a dremel and a router for dremel so i will see the results very soon. ;D ;D ;D ;D

On the race for finishing my midibox, I would like to know wich PIC should I buy, since i have bought the pcb kit from mike´s electronic site. I know that is the PIC 18F452, but does It has to be form microchip.....national......any special trademark?

Sorry for this lot of questions... :P

  8. Hi there

Well the panel is made of wood, so i plan to make it of aluminium. The biggest problem i had when planing to do it in alluminium was how to make the slide pots holes, so practical solution was wood.

Can any of you tell me how to do the holes for the slide pots??

BTW: Any comments about the front panel?

  9. Well.....I create this topic to show all midiboxers my almost finished midibox to control Ableton LIVE. (I think this might be the second or first MB from argentina lol)

Up to now i have used 32 pots 32 buttons and 32 leds for basic  live´s channel control and launching clips; on the second stage i will use the 32 buttons and pots left to control effects on the return channel and replacing the mixer front panel from one made of aluminium.

I hope you all give your opinions, thank you very much.

  10. What I wanted to say is that if I repace the expression pedal pot for a 10k and connect it to my MB64, can I map the expression pedal to a send control in Ableton?

I am sorry if my english is a bit complicated to understand.

I want to build my own foot controller like Roland or Behringer. ;)

  11. Hello again everybody, i am almost finishing my first MB64, and by the time I finish this controller i would also like to be able to work with a MIDI pedal but i have a few doubts.

If buy any ROLAND, OR BEHRINGER MIDI pedals system with foot switches and an expression pedal...................

Can I map the expression pedal to a send channel in Ableton LIVE? And just use the other foot switches to launch clips.

Is the expression pedal only used for volume controls??

Wich pedal would you advise me to get, that works the way I need?

    Greetings from Argentina.

    ;D
