  1. and the love of beer lol ;D
  2. sell it to me please ! i need this keypad, and guess what : i did the din/dout integration using scan matrix (in user projects) contrary to smash tv i find them very clever at monome, obvious they had the same idea than me(the 8x8 pads), and believe it or not, rubber buttons are the best things to make music (elecrtribe, mpc ...) ; classical butons like those on machinedrum (1500 euros!) suck. i got all these machines to compare. and i produce better tracks on rubber buttons !
  3. holy graal you did it ! i am VERY interested to know more about your keyboard like buttons, especially the light into. great job man !
  4. Hello guys i've really improved the voirinov : now it has a display ! which shows what note, CC or program you send. I am totally re-designing it to integrate a sequencer. This will be v2. Have fun ! 8x8 KBD LED Enc v1.4.zip 8x8 KBD LED Enc v1.4.zip
  5. check the ribbon between core and sid pcb : V3 and V2 (both core/sid) differs on pinning for J10 ! did you try sidtestone app ? what's with it ? cheers
  6. use mios studio, clic once on the modwheel, then increment /decrement with up and down arrow of the mac keyboard. i just did it, it works
  7. they are too big, it is hard to easily go pushing buttons absolutly no problem. more problem with the leds holes which are often too small. some hints : jb weld in the corners was shitty, not enough resistive ; so i drilled the panel. but it works perfect on the spacers, maybe cause of the screwliner inside the spacer (help the jb weld strength). test all your leds with a battery (CR2032) before soldering. Some were ultra bright, others were only bright, obvious the vendor (selectronic) told me they were all the same ! sorting before soldering is a good idea (ouf ! i did it), in order to get the same led type in the matrix for example. I used 2k resistors to reduce brightness. There is a gap of 3mm between the panel and the display : i will go at Leroy Merlin (bricolage stuff) tonight and get a piece of plexiglas to complete. Be careful with the display on the PCB : add rubber on his front side to avoid short circuits.(that would send lots of random messages otherwise) TBC cheers
  8. wha wha wha hard to attach files ! more pics at : http://4colors/midibox/demos/mb6582/building/ the front side :
  9. Hi buddies maybe missed something but is there a command line (e.g MERGER_On()) in C for enabling the merge function on the core when writing a custom application ? I would like to connect a keyboard to a core and that this core send all events from the kbd to the output. if not i will use the example given by thorsten in the C programming examples section ,like this : void MPROC_NotifyReceivedEvnt( unsigned char evnt0, unsigned char evnt1, unsigned char evnt2) __wparam { MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut(evnt0); MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut(evnt1); MIOS_MIDI_TxBufferPut(evnt2); }
  10. it's on the way with the voirinov ... and controlling machinedrum too (it does already).but something i would like to clearly know are the CC# of the bassline mode : understood nothing to the sid parameters list. nice demo ;)
  11. ce que tu cherches s'appelle une MPC. La 500 est à 500 euros en ce moment. Tu te feras moins ch***.
  12. what parts ? i am intereted too as i ve ordered the pcb. could you tell me more huck ? cheers
  13. oh oh ! I received the box 2 days ago and I would like to thank Prof for the job ;) cheers
  14. the spacers also exist with screw at one extremity : use nuts in this case (M3). I tested the bassline 1 & 2 patches yesterday with stereo : What a Fuck !!!!!!! but a drummachine behind and your are the new Daft Punk ! It is really much better than sid v1.7 with 6581. TK has won a lot of "this DIY project rocks!" from me and I still wonder if he will present it at NAMM ?! Cheers
  15. Hi buddies ! I paid tonight for the PCB. I have a lot of questions : how many peoples involved, who's doing what (Jaicen collects money, Sasha does PCB, who's hunting rare components ?), who will be the panel manufacturer, will Sasha produce illuminated buttons ?. I think we should try to find an elegant manner to title the topics in the ucapps forum ; why not starting them by [x0x] ? Is there a chief to manage all the tasks ? Cheers
  16. well i have once again crucial questions : 1- considering the picture of Narwhal, how do you do to put a display with a height of 10 mm in contact with the panel ? i have bought this display, the one recommended in the wiki as surface control partlist and done all the assembly, not yet jb weld. Moreover, i have soldered all the switches , and a good alternatvie would have been to put smaller ones and grind the encoders.. just to understand : spacers = 10mm but display screwed to the CS PCB has only a height of 5/6mm (10mm -- PCB thickness which is 2mm -- soldering blurb of the alps tact switches which makes 2mm == 6mm). So there are 4mm missing ! that's a big hole. I've been thinking to put a piece of glass or plexiglas in order to reach the down face of the panel but it isn't aesthetical. 2- relative to the 4 screws jb-welded in the 4 corner of the panel : how do you do to fix them to the pactec ???? if you let them like this, when you'll shake the box, panel will move. I wonder if i shouldn't drill the panel... Any good trick welcome. Cheers
  17. >:(I hope it was ironic. Take the time Wilba. But I were you I would not test all the chips, just make a random test. But maybe don't you want to fight with returns. 8) Personally the 2 chips you sold me more than 6 months ago are working very well :D Cheers
  18. I received mine today. The first thing I 'd like to say is thanks a lot to Altitude. This is certainly the best parcel I ever received. The second thing is the quality of the panel isn't optimal : some default in the silk-screen and some scratch on the panel. Who's the manufacturer ? But I definitly don't want to return it and wait 2 months again. Maybe part refunds ? Cheers
  19. what's the difference between your pcb and the layada pcb ? personnaly, i think that the price is quite the same, and as there are more than 80 PCB available on layada.net, it's hard to me to understand the interest of another source (you). But your panel and your buttons are much nicer. In consequence i tell that i am not interested by your pcb batch (if it is the same as Limors one), but i am interested by the panel and buttons batch and the rare parts. If i can help for this, let me know. Best regards [edit] : i did not check the first post==> PCB is different. I will read the full assembly manual of limor to see if parts are hard to find in France, check your design and his design and tell you tomorrow if i am in. cheers
  20. Hi Sasha. i could be interested by this x0x bulk (just discovered). But do you know if it will be easy to get the rare parts ? Does somebody hunt them ? did you design the panel for the illuminated buttons ? who will program atmel ? will you sell those amazing buttons ? The advantage of the layada x0x is that everything is ready to build, the problem is the waiting list. I am waiting since a very long time to get the x0x, so could you please make a check up telling the exact number of people interested, and what must still be done. Do you think that the bulk is possible if we are only 10 people (for PCB and Panel) interested? Regards
