  1. Hi Folks,

here are some leftovers from my 6582-project.

    2x 6582 from Wilba-groupbuy

    2x 8581 from an old c64

    All sids tested and working!

    Price is 17,50.- euro/each

  2. Hi all,

    strange probs here!

Nearly finished my mb6582 and all voltages are checked and fine. So I put in the cores (4x) from Smash, preburned with MIOS and device ids from 00 to 03. My display shows a friendly "ready",the core sends one request after powering up,everythings fine until here.

    But...

...each time I try to upload the application with mios-studio 7.5 ,all blocks of code are sent and no errors are displayed. But the core doesn`t reboot and the display shows nothing at all.

When I switch the unit off and on again, the core behaves like no mios is uploaded and spits out the upload request every 20ms.

After uploading mios once again, the display shows "ready" again.

    What am I doing wrong???

  3. Hi,

sadly the documentation is only in german, but the pcbs are silkscreened so it`s easy to see where each part belongs to. There`s a little bug in the envelope-section,but it`s well documented easy to fix...

    ADSR-Bug : http://www.synthwerker.de/Bilder-WEB/adsr-neu.jpg

PCBs are available at www.anyware-instruments.de ,it`s not documented on their site but drop a mail to them and they will etch the boards by order.

Here is a partlist, all parts are available at www.Reichelt.de .

And this is the documentation :

  4. Hi all,

does anyone here know the "Simplesizer"? It`s an analog diy-synth (CV/Gate) I built some time ago, pcbs are still available, only common parts are used.

    2x OSC Saw/Pulse with sync

    1x RingMod

    1x Noise

1x LFO with triangle and squarewave

    1x S+H

    1x Moog 24db lowpass

    1x AD envelope to VCF

    1x ADSR envelope to VCA

    many ins and outs available

    pcb:

    some sounds:

    A frontpanel-layout example:

This nice lil`unit together with a mb303 sequencer would be fine!

    What do you think?

  5. Hi,

@x-ten: a 303-clone without the "obsolete" parts with modern/available will never sound like the original.

Believe me,I own a TB303,a x0x and two ML303 (v5 + v6). There is a noticable difference in sound if you only switch from the original Roland-vca (BA662) to a substitute vca like the BA6110. Or change the SK30-o and use another j-fet transistor instead,it`ll be different. (...and very soon you`ll end in a MB33-styled TB-sound!)

That`s because I find it much more interesting to take the 303Seq and add it up with a Bass-station-styled 2osc synth or an fm-sound engine like the opl3. And it`s easier to desolder these chips than you think... ;)

  6. Hi,

    why another 303-clone?

In my opinion it would be more interesting to build a standalone 303-style sequencer to trigger my pulse or bass-station.A-outs could be added as well for non midi gear.

    What about a standalone sid303? Put in a pt10 with a x0x/ML-like user interface.

Or a mbfm303? Using the opl3 as a kind of (powerful) osc with aditional analog filter+vca section.

    Just some ideas... ;)

  7. Hi all,

one stupid question to make myself sure if I´m doing right :

What`s the correct direction for the control-surface leds of the mb6582?

-Long leg (anode) to the round side of the silkscreen

-Short leg (cathode) to the flat side

    Is this correct???

    Thanks

  8. Hi,

@Wilba : Thanks for posting this here and, yes,my design was clearly inspired by the 6582mb.  ;)

I took all the panel elements from TKs rackmount-unit and simply matched it to a pt-10. For me it was very important that I had to make no changes on the firmware, that`s not my cup of tea... :P

@nILS : Nice one, really! Do I see a sequencer there at the bottom of your panel? Cooooool!!!

  9. Hi TK,

wouldn`t it be nice for a mbfm v2 to have tempo(midi)synced lfos like in the sid v2?

And what I really like to see is a sequencer-option like in the sid v2.

303 bassline with the fm-engine and tr-styled for the drums.

    Perhaps a double core solution?

    Only some ideas...

    ;)
