  1. Ok, to answer my own question, the MidiboxCV seems to work fine on +/- 15v. I hooked it up and nothing caught fire, which is my baseline for success, and the tuning seems fine still. Sweet!
  2. I have had my Midibox CV up and working for a while now. I haven't had any real problems with it. In fact I love it. I built it with the AOUT (MAX525) module. I had it running off of the secondary power supply in my modular which happened to be +/- 12v as specified in the AOUT schematic. I recently picked up a new power supply that I want to replace my secondary supply with, however I would like to run this one at +/-15v since it seems kinda silly to be running my power supplies at different voltages for no real reason at all. Anyways, the point of all this, is I would like to know if I'm going to run into any problems when feeding my AOUT +/- 15v? Are there any changes that I'll need to make? My instinct says no, but I'd like to check with the gurus first. Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Thanks! I'm planning on building a few more MB projects after this one. I'm really pleased with this MB CV. I did do the calibration setup, but the calibration, unless I missed something (which does happen), just addresses the CV Outputs from the Aout board. Much to my amazement they barely needed any adjusting at all. The pulse signal from my sample and hold actually gives an output of 5v when clocked to audio frequencies. Since its a symmetrical pulse I assumed the peak is 10v. I'm guessing here. I don't know if my guesses have any bearing on reality. When I measure the output of the MB clock the same way I get <1v. I'm pulling the clock form J6:SC on the core module. Is This is correct? The reason I assumed it was a weak signal from the MIDIbox is that when I plug the MBCV clock output into my sample and hold or LFO and an external clock the clock LED flashes very dim and the behavior is not quite right. It wont drive my pattern generators at all. I've clocked these with signals form other equipment successfully. It does occur to me that the core module is 5v so theres no chance I would get a 10v clock from it. Let me know if I missed something important. Thanks!
  4. Hi. This is my first post here. I hate asking questions, and successfully answered most of mine on my own. I just built the MIDIbox cv and I love it. The only question I have at this point is about the midi clock output. I'm getting output, but it seems a bit weak. Do I need to do anything to amplify it (buffer it or something), or did I miss something stupid. I'm using this in my modular, so I checked the clock signal from my sample and hold. It is a 10v 10ms pulse. I changed the pulse width to 10ms in the software on the MIDIbox CV (I set "#define DEFAULT_EXT_CLK_PULSEWIDTH 19" that should set it to 10ms right?). When I measure the output from the MIDIbox with my multimeter clock it is <1v, which seems like it may be the culprit. Any suggestions?
