  1. no. I have no actual experience in programing. Only web (php, javascript and actionscript) I saw that this was mainly C programing, so it is maybe a bit of homework to do first ... ? But it is nice that it is possible to program the settings changes. That means it is doable. Then it´s back to reading about what I needs an where to start.
  2. Hi. I have been looking aroud for some time trying to find the midicontroller that fits my needs, but dont find annything suitable. So it stroke me that maybe a DIY project was the best solution. But I am new to "this DIY midi world" and need to know if it is possible to do the tings I hope to. I also hope you forgive if the questions are dumb or elementary. I play the drums, and uses a Alesis Controllpad to trigger Ableton Live things. But i miss some encoders and faders to adjust filters, volumes and effects. The Controllpad is ca 43cm wide, so that leaves 5,5cm on the side to fill the width of my 19" rack soundcard. In this 5,5 ca I hope to fit in two "lines" containing one 100mm fader, 3 buttons, 3 rotaryenc. whith LEDrings, a display, and a bank/preset selection encoder. under this I want transport controllers. se a scetch of my idea here: http://www.nonsens.no/midi/controller.jpg The part witch makes me wonder is that i want to be able to change presets for the two "lines" of controlls separatly. so that I can control track 1 and 3, and then change the right one to controll the master track whitout changeing the left one. As i was reading this page the Midibox 64E seemd suiteable, but is it possible to do the preset switching. And is it possible for a person new to this to manage such a project. I can see that it will take a lot of effort, but thinking of the result will probably keep me going.
