  1. Hi,

I'm thinking about creating a new low cost AOUT module that uses the low-cost Microchip MCP4922 for those (like me) who want fewer CV outputs, but still want precision to drive VCOs

    Advantages:

    - Comes in DIP package

    - Low cost: US$ 3,16 at mouser, R$ 12 in Brazil :-)

    - 12 bits resolution

    - SPI Interface

    Disadvantages:

    - 4,5 uS Latency (i don't know if that's bad actually! the TLV5630IDW from AOUT_NG has 3uS in slow mode)

    - Only two DACs

    My question:

what do I have to change in MIOS in order to make the CORE module communicate with this new AOUT?

  2. A special note to Mac users: the part of Java that drives the midi interface is not capable of handling USB devices or other plug-and-play things correctly, therefore it's recommended to install the so called 'mmj' Java extension (http://www.humatic.de/htools/mmj.htm) if you are experiencing problems with your midi device being recognized by the program.

TK, maybe you should put this info in the SysEx editor page (http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_sid_manual_ed.html)

    What do you think?

  3. Sasha,

since is finished you should put some page on the wiki on the users projects!

It's so nice that it should be documented!

With HUIs like that midibox will start to compete with the big guys!!!

One of mine future plans is to design one MB to launch clips on live, with visual feedback, so I can just forget about my laptop and use Live like a HW sampler

    Congrats

  4. The page for the X=Y touchpad is out!

I gess that they're not selling anymore!

however there is, or should be, some simple code to change this.. i havent thought of it yet..

Actually is not that simple, you must do a double linear translation! Really weird that two crossed axis!!
