TK, thanks for sorting my posts. I didn't remember this was a separate thread... :blink: Phil, is this a separate MIOS application? I don't have the build tool chain ready. Even though I should get it up, I'd rather spend my time learning MB SEQ V4 at the moment. I just got it working with four IIC MIDI modules. :) It you want me to try the application, please provide a hex. Otherwise I could format the SD card in Windows.

I guess it is time to wake this thread up. I never saw the pros to use the SSM2164 in a MB-SID configuration. There are allready envelopes and stuff. Please explain, what makes this module usful?

Sorry, but are we talking about the banks for saving patterns? There are so many concepts in the SEQ V4 so I get a bit confused... I have not had the opportunity to use my sequencer so much yet, but it sounds to me that the drawback of a bit longer copy time is worth it for twice the space for saved patterns.

The 16MB card is a Cannon branded SD (full physical size). It was deliverd with a new Cannon Ixus camera 2006. I noticed the FAT12 and reformatted it in OS X, but never had the chance to change to another FAT format. Maybe Windows is a better place to do that. Will try tonight. Also, does the debugging and info commands only work via USB connection? If that is the case, I think it should be mentioned somwhere because I tyied to use them over MIDI... Stupid me, but I am not the only one :baby:

I try to program my Core32 bought from SmashTV. In OS X I see the device as Core32 with one midi in and one midi out. However I cannot load MIOS Studio. It hangs with the splash screen. I have installed Mandolane from http://www.mandolane.co.uk/MandolaneInstallV2_96.zip. I use a MacBook with Intel processor, latest version of Snow Leopard and updated Java. When I boot my mac in windows xp sp 2 I can start MIOS Studio all right, but windows doesn't find the Core32. Nothing happens on the computer side when I connect it. Is there some prerequisites for windows xp? Drivers? I know the last one is a bit off topic, but it still is a Mac running windows :whistle: Thankful for a reply.

Farnell do only trade with companies in Sweden but you may buy their parts via www.microkit.se. Send them a list of what you want and they buy it for you. Their preferred supplied is Elfa though, so if the parts are available from Elfa too, they will buy them from there... Anyway, they are fast and have cheap shipping.

There seem to be no power issue. Disconnected everything but the GM5 and it still doesn't work. Funny enough a GM5 module with only one in and one out works perfectly. Anyway I tried another hub and it worked perfectly! Using the same power supply and the same USB cable. It is a much cheaper one and it still works with all the other ports connected to harddrive, mouse and another GM5!

You are right about the wilba seq pcb. It contains control surface and din/dout modules, so it is directly connected to the core module. Most often encoders are called encoder in swedish too, but ELFA likes swedish and uses the word "pulsgivare", so search for that... They are not cheap though so I sugest voti.nl or mouser (mouser has free shipping to Sweden for orders over €75) for encoders...
