  1. Farnell is a good suplier, however, as mosy of you probobly know they only do bussiness with companies. When I asked them about it they asked me to contact http://www.microkit.se/ They suply all parts from Farnell, elfa and others plus they have thir own stock. I just received an order from them and can report they did an excelent job.
  2. Come on... The point with my post was that I will organize the five ins and outs of my midi interface on top of each other (a 2x5 pattern) makeing it easy to find a fitting case. The impatience thing was a (stupid and unlucky) paranthesis. I am not blaming anybody for anything except the mailman for being slow and me for being impatient.
  3. Sorry. Didn't mean no harm. I am sure it will turn up eventually. Just didn't realize it could be interpreted in that way. I will try to think before writing next time ;)
  4. I will stack the ins and outs on top of eachother (EDIT) and by doing that it is much easier to find a good housing. not rack mount though...
  5. We might be able to reach 25. We should set up a wiki page to gather the forces! I just don't have time today... Working.
  6. I need one too and would be glad to participate in a bulk order. I don't know of a better source than Mouser though, I hope there is though. What about switches, encoders and lcd?
  7. I am intereseted in this and will probobly buy both pcb and case/panel.
  8. I have followed this thread from the very beginning and watched the videos, however there were still some questions. Thanks for the answers. Another one: How big should the tip of the soldering iron be when drag soldering?
  9. I didn't receive it either. Patience is bliss ;)
  10. Is there any use with flux when soldering the pins individually? What does it do exactly? I am a bit confused with the flux business... It comes in spray, paste, pen, you name it form too... Is the sodering iron tip shape critical when drag soldering?
  11. One thing I didn't really get yet is: what is the eeprom for?
  12. Congratulations! What soldering technique did you use? That drag soldering described in this thread looks risky for me as a beginner I think. How hard is it to solder every pin individually in the usual way?
  13. Me to :D. Thanks!
  14. To me it doesn't matter. I don't have any use for the panels (except for drooling) until I get all the other stuff, but I wouldn't mind getting them earlier anyway.
  15. How is it going? Any price tag yet?
  16. Got mine yesterday ;D while(1) wilba.thanks(); offe: word!
  17. So adding that option is like a micro insurance... Anyway I was browsing the MidiBox sequencer pages and realized it might get kind of tough to make a good interface with two rows of information. I will ponder it until deadline...
  18. What does "Registered Parcel" mean? Some kind of tracking number?
  19. This is taken from uCapps midibox sequencer v3 hardware options: Which display size? For MIDIbox SEQ V3, two 2x40 LCDs are required! The menu pages won't be displayed completely on smaller LCDs, a software solution for 2x16 or 2x20 LCDs is not supported (and very hard to realize)! A single 4x40 LCD as replacement for the two 2x20 LCDs is possible, but keep in mind, that this requires to arrange the GP buttons and rotary encoders at the top and the bottom of the LCD, so that they are aligned with the 8*5 character segments of the display. Without this alignment, menu item values cannot be edited intuitively.
  20. Cool enough ;) I guess I will eventually make a sequencer...
  21. What is the approximate time schedual for this project/order/work/thing...?
  22. I am interested in a 4x40 display. What color are they? inverted or non inverted?
  23. Thank's. I think that summed things up good.
