  1. Hello,

it seems like it is hard to buy ALPS or other good quality potentiometer here in Lithuania in a fair price. Maybe someone have 10k linear slide potentiometers.

I need 2 simple linear potentiometers and one with middle position.

Also if You have rotary pots, I am also interested for about 8 pcs.

  2. Tell me how to make it better :)

    P.S.

    All round holes are pots/encoders.

All small round holes are 5mm LEDs

All bigger squares in series of 4 are illuminated buttons from sparkfun.

All bigger squares in Loop section are illuminated buttons samples from omron afaik.

All smaller squares are simple buttons.

  3. Hello,

here is my new design. I was making it using autocad for panel drills etc, but I thought it would be good to share my design and wait for comments for it. Anyway, HERE IT IS. I was inspired by Traktorizer midibox and Allen & Heath Xone D series controllers, so my design will be like these I mentioned. Any comments welcome :)

  4. My opinion is based on real experience with remarked SIDs and unscrupulous IC brokers. Your opinion is based on wishful thinking. If they could clone SIDs, there would be thousands available, not just a hundred or so, and faked to look like new old stock, they'd be sold as new new stock!

Well it may be true, but that operation costs alot. As I have heard, engineers etches the top of the chip, connects wires to special places near the crystal and reads the code, sometimes they use laser, sometimes removes unuseful parts of the chip to get information. As I said, this information is not confirmed :) Only head that it costs around 1000EU for simple locked mcu.

  5. LOL I didn't "give you permission"... I just said people will buy them even if they are remarked, and IMHO I think they are (old markings are sanded away, see pic) which basically means, someone pulled them out of C64s and made them look new. Personally, I hate that people in the world do this kind of thing, but it's been done already, so people might as well enjoy these SIDs... they still sound the same... maybe even BETTER because each one was dipped in DOUBLE HAPPINESS!

It could be, but it could be a lie. Chinese electronics engineers are able to copy chips using special chemistry and electronics devices. I have seen many exact copies of controllers with the same program, when engineers had no source files. So if these are made in China - it could be unique, not repainted ones.

  6. Hello,

I got GM5 chip from one user here (thanks rosch) and saw that it is Atmel at90usb162. Why doesn't anyone try to read hex from it and make a clone? I have tried to do this, but I don't know how to push this chip into programming mode and use Atmel Flip to read the source.

  7. Hi!

i will enquire about shipping cost...

Hello, I am interested in buying GM5 chip as I see it wasn't sold already. How much would it cost to ship it to Lithuania? It should be the same price in the whole Europe Union I think..? Thanks.
