  6. It seems the file is too large to upload.
  7. Hello my friend, honestly, I'm feeling totally lost. I don't know hnow to send a screenshot of mios studio, however, the port routing appears to be correct if in goes to in, and out to out. If not I don't know how to change them. Yes I have an actual cable going from in to out on the midisport, and when I send the Midio128 hex.,I see stuff in the output monitor and not the input monitor. I don't see what could cause an "echo" as you describe. I don't know if it helps, but I have recieved ok checksums. Thanks!!
  8. Still no luck. Should I get note messages after only uploading the midio 128 hex, or does it need the separate ini. file? In which case shouldn't I be more concerned with mios studio than midiox? Thanks!!!
  9. I'm trying different low level output buffers and delays working with the loopback, trying to get the messages to match. Sometimes I am getting long strains of control messages in blue and sometimes have to disconnect the midi cable to stop it.
  10. Hello and happy holidays!! I'm back and still no midi :( I bought a midisport 1x1, tried several drivers, and the communications still don't appear to match. Actually it seems worse. When I send an upload or sysex, I can't tell if it's working. What am I looking for in midiox and mios studio as far as messages from the midibox? I tried sending the midio 128 syx through the loop back and I'm not getting matched input and output. I'm feeling kinda lost. I even tried using another computer. Please help!!!
  11. Sorry I didn't see the link. Thanks again for your time and I shall report back :)

  13. Would a regular us 122 work?
  14. I just started my quest for midi again and I don't know if it'll help but I have +5v on the out midi port from center (ground?)to both of the terminals in question and nothing at all on the in port. Thanks!!

  16. Hi folks, I tried not to come here but I'm lost. Please help! Ok, I've got a core hooked to just one din for now to try to get familiar with the system. I built the boards a week or so ago and couldn't get it working. I am a total newbie. I do have many hours in the forum and other places starting befor I even ordered the parts from smash tv. Initially I thought the problem was the octocoupler from some reading and the fact that I accidentally soldered it in without the socket. I bought 3 new octos from mouser and have tried two so I don't think that's the problem. Everything appears to be ok to me except that shorting the pins does nothing, even tried another din. Here's what I have on power up in midiox (no lcd) TIMESTAMP IN PORT STATUS DATA1 DATA2 CHAN NOTE EVENT 001ADBCB 1 1 F0 Buffer: 2 Bytes System Exclusive SYSX: F0 F7 001ADBCD 1 1 F0 Buffer: 8 Bytes System Exclusive SYSX: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F7 Is this normal? I pretty much followed the midio mysteries pdf plus the diagrams on the smash tv site and have used the original (sample) ini . I followed the troubleshooting as much as I can ( I'm not a technician) I have a beautiful 32 note pedalboard just begging to come to life!! Please, please help!! Thank you very much, Conrad
