[n00b question]

I finally have my midibox working. It plays directly from the box but now I want to control it with my Keyboard. I have Ableton Live sending a MIDI file to my Midisport 2x2. I can see on the midisport that Live is sending the info to it (blinking light in time with the notes). But how do I get the Midibox to recognize incoming MIDI? Thanks in advance, I know this is very basic but I can't figure this out.

[Sammich n00b Voltage test Q]

Hey,

So I just finished Step 3 from the build guide (basically just soldering all the parts up to the Heatsinks) and I'm trying to do a voltage test before I go on. But I have no idea how :(

I have my Multimeter on 10-DCV and I touch the Black (negative) probe to the J2 and the Red to the J2 +5v and I get Zeros. I try it with a ton of other combinations and I never get anything. I'm doing something wrong but I have no idea what.

Please excuse the utter n00b in this post and help me out :)

[MB-6582 Parts Kit]

So I'm starting my MIDIbox SID and I bought the CORE Kit, SID Kit, and the MB-6582 Parts Kit.  I'm putting together the CORE and SID but I just realized I have no idea why I bought the MB-6582 parts kit.

What does it do?........lol....:(
