  1. Dear all @ the forum !

I am into PIC programming for other hobbies and I have my PIC burner at home.

I think that, having the last MIOS version, I should only put ther PIC on the socket, start the programmer,

get the last MIOS version into the PIC and all is done...

Despite the fact I don't know exactly how to use MIDI to update a PIC, why should I first program the bootloader into the PIC,

and then upload the MIOS version via MIDI? I think it is sufficient to upload the MIOS via PIC programmer...

    am I wrong?

    thanks for the feedback

  2. Hi everybody again!

this time I added the pictures, not all displays are shown but I am planning a HTML page to show everyting. Just let me the time to drop some code :sorcerer:

...anyway here's the post: I have a bunch of 40x2 LCD displays to sell or trade.

I have taken them off some unused control panels that have been wasted after some years in a warehouse.

They are mostly unused, most of them are backlighted (green light, black characters).

I have also some other kinds (2x16, graphic etc...).

They were never tested until now, I only know they were good working on the control panels, anyway I will test before sending.

Satisfaction guaranteed: if something goes wrong, I can change it upon receive of the not working LCD!!!

If you are interested, don't hesitate to contact me: cups75@yahoo.it

Picture 001 shows displays with 14pins plug + AK for backlight, picture 002 shows displays with 16pins plug + AK for backlight.

I think 10€ would be a reasonable price for a 40x2 display with backlight, add postage fee and the LCD is yours. I ship anywhere on this planet... some other format and price are available. See all here: http://iv3ynb.altervista.org/market.htm

Since I am planning to build something for me too, I can also trade them with SID chips, rotary encoders, PIC micros, EEPROMs and any hardware you can offer, just keep in touch, make an offer and we can surely make a deal.

My purpose is not to make money  but to help the community (me too) with some trade or little sell: I have many LCDs, too many for a single guy.

Anyway, have a good day !!!

I can make pictures and send them upon request.
