Is it possible to split this over two regions.
So maybe shift register 0 and 1 change leds by button press
and separately from this shift register 2 and 3?
How to change the code for that?

Another question. With this formula V = 1 + R2 / R1
I get the resistor values. So in my case I need V=3,125.
I tried it with R2 22k and R1 10k and it doesn't work.
Are these resistors to high?

so I got some mc1458P to do it. This thing has 8 connectors
1 1out
2 1in-
3 1in+
4 Vcc-
5 2in+
6 2in-
7 2out
8 VCC+
Is it right that this thing don't need a own power supplie? (vss+ & vss-)
So I connect pin 2 to ground (with the 2 resistors)
the outcoming voltage from pot to pin 3
and pin 1 to ain module

Thanks for you're help, I think the best solution would be going with a rail-to-rail opamp. But I'm a dummy when it comes to electricity.
Do anyone have a shematic for such a thing?

Hi, if got some modwheels on my midibox which are only using 40% of a 10k pot.
so I got a very limited range of value. Some say use a 30k pot to increase the value,
but I havent seen any to buy. Some say there is a solution by modifying the MIDIBox ASM file.
Whats the way to go? Anyone already solved this issue?

It works! After trying two differnt psu which were dc with over 500mA ,I tried a ac psu and it works now.
thanks for your patience. But why it works now, I dont know.

The voltage at J1-2 is about 7,6Volt.
If I try to press more then one button together the midibox reset.
It must be some voltage problem without pic and all leds burning
the Voltage at dout module is only 4 Volt.
-
Ahhrrgg, on either way it dont work. 10 times or more turning on, all is fine.
next time turning on all leds or only a some are burning but midibox dont start.
The voltage on J8 Vd is too low. I proved all soldering an see no problem.
Why is the starting prodcedure randomized?
-
Looks like you were right. Thanks a lot.
-
Yes, J8 Vd 3.8 Volt, and then with putting finger 5 Volt.
And sometimes midibox do start, sometimes not, wihout any schematic.
-
There are only 3.85 Volt on the line to dout module and if I touch the rc/sc line it goes up to 5 Volt.
Mysterious.

After turning mad, could the problem be that I have not grounded the case?
Now with ground it seems to work.
EDIT: No it has nothing to do with grounding I ve to search again.

Hi Thorsten,
There are 2 dout modules connected to 60 Leds.
The longest cables to the Leds are about 50 cm.
Is that maybe to long?

Hello, this is my first midibox project and I have a problem with the dout module.
My mb64 start sometimes , sometimes not. If I put my finger on the sc/rc input of the dout
module the box get started. I tested all buttons and all leds, they are working. Do I have to drill
a hole in my midibox to get it started by putting my finger on the rc/sc line???

I use it as a live toy to combine drum patterns and mix them.
The black knobs are to equalize with kill switches.
