Hi Midiboxer,

After 2 weeks I browsed midibox web and its link, I found it that it's time for me to build my custom dream midi controller. My design inspired by shasa/fibra box controller that i accidentally found his posting on flickr.com and Eufex. While TK the main man and Cimo  as my reference regarding technicality of the midibox, and also all midiboxer who post their shout, comment and contribution to the forum.

I'm going to make a midi controller for Live DJ, consist of pots, fader, button, rotary encoder, led ring and led meter but before that I need ur advise, suggestion and comment before building it.

- Am I right if using midibox64e ? (1core+AIN+DIN+DOUT)

- Can I use led meter in this set up ? and does the led meter and the led clip button will act

just like on the ableton live dj screen ?

- the navigation on ableton wil it work properly ? i tried using keyboard from my mac it seems

doesn't work, i need help on this....

Thanks

you should ask yourself.

1) how many channels do u plan on using in ableton

2) how many knobs / channel do you need

3) how many additional non-mapped knobs will you need (sort of like a buffer in case you need more later on)

based on those questions your 64E might turn into a full featured 64.

you also mite want to consider drawing out your desired mixer on paper. this will solve a lot of the questions on how much parts you will need which will lead you to decide which midibox is right for you.
