pesce Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Hallo to everybody here, I'm new user!I need to your help to understand a basic question. I read a lot posts about pot and MB64E and also the changelog of midibox64E (quote from there: Although MIDIbox64E has been designed for rotary encoders, it can now also handle with up to 64 pots/faders or up to 8 motorfaders.Pots and faders are mapped to the "encoder" entries 64-128. Example: if group width is 16, and group 1 is selected, encoders are using Entry 1-16, and pots are using entry 64-(number of pots) )I want to realize e midi controller base on midibox64E with buttons, rotary encoder and pot.I'm new of DIY controller, I understand basic electronic but I want to avoid to burn a PIC because I don't know nothing about programming and laguages. I want to buy from smashtv all necessary modules CORE, DOUT,AIN...So the question is: can I have pot on midibox64E just wiring them in the right place and avoid PIC burning? Thanks for the answersPesce
stryd_one Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Welcome aboard pesce :)The answer is Yes :) You don't have to reburn the PIC if you buy one with the bootloader pre-burned from smashtv or mike. Have a search around the forums to learn more.
pesce Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 Thanks for the answer! It is what I need to continue with the design.I will post a picture of my project this evening. Thanks again!
