Question about buttons

I'm building a midibox16E

My ultimate goal is to have "touch sensors" instead of traditionnal buttons, meaning instead of pushing a button, I touch a metal peice.

Would that be possible with the 16E ?

Otherwise, anyone has ideas on nice feeling buttons that don't travel too much ?
