hey.

i'm new here and just discovered the site after searching google for ways to build a sid synth.

i play guitar in a band and i'm interested in adding some synth sounds to my recordings.

i've browsed around, and had a read of the walkthrough (stickied here), but everything seems kind of loose-ended, and not too fool-proof. basically, is there a set-in stone way to build just a basic midibox sid? i can solder, and i have a drill, multimeter, and a few other bits, but the "putting together" is slightly confusing me.
