Hi,

I am looking for a way to send variable GATE volume values based on the volume of the depressed key. This will in turn trigger ADSR modules with variable strength, in effect creating variable volume based on the key velocity.

Gate is a digital output per definition (0 or 5 V) so you will need to use a regular CV output for anything variable. Most often it works like this: A CV is used to determine velocity, then a Gate signal is used to trigger the envelope (depending on the CV). If your target expects CV and gate all in one signal, i.e. it wants to see 0V....some V....0V, either maybe there's a way to configure MBCV to do that on CV out (? or is it already like that? I never used MBCV so far) or you could use the gate out signal to make e.g. a small reed relais switch on and off some CV output.
