Ravager Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 hi there,i just finished a pic burner and checked the circuit several times.Though, P18 won't identify my PIC 18F452-I/P no matter what "interface timing" I use:## this PIC-ID 0xFFE0 is not in database## NO PIC-detectedCP-Blocksize : 4000Panelgröße : 0000while checking, both the red and the yellow LEDs are lit for a about half a second. The red one seems to turn off earlier.i could imagine 3 possible problemsthere is an error in the circuit --> I can't find it :)my PIC won't work --> how can I find out?p18 version 1.8 is buggy --> has anyone got an older version?is the recoginzed PIC-ID correct? 0xFFE0?if not, where shoul I find the problem?edit:- I used a new cable- Voltage corrected down to 12,5V --> same error- tried out 3 parallel modes: ECP, EPP, Bi-Directional. Same error, but bidirectional behaves very strange concerning the LEDs Quote
Ravager Posted April 11, 2009 Author Report Posted April 11, 2009 problem solved:according to this text the clock-wire should be protected from interference. Quote
stryd_one Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Funny, someone had a burner issue last night in the chat, and the first hardware thing I blamed: the cable. It's often a failing point.Glad it's sorted :D Quote
