pglenn Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 I'm looking to build a DIY Electronic Drum Set and thought that a MidiBox project would be good for the brains - something to take the triggers, set them to MIDI and then send via output to my PC for processing. Anyone have experience or knowledge with a similar project? I know about triggering the MidiBox midi notes via switches, buttons, or knobs, figure the same can be done via 1/4" or RCA inputs from a drum trigger? I figure 8inputs would be sufficient but 16 would be good for any possible future expansion of the drum kitPatrick Quote
sineSurfer Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Hi patrick and welcome!midibox as a drum brain is doable but looks like nobody has made one already so I guess it could be a little bit difficult with no examples to follow, feel free to try though :)Also, there are some alternatives, reading all those pages should give you a better idea, and most if not all you can find there could be implemented with midibox core, etc.:http://www.edrum.info/http://todbot.com/blog/2006/10/29/spooky-arduino-projects-4-and-musical-arduino/http://drummaster.thecave.homeunix.org/ Quote
