Hi,

I have a question regarding the document mbsid_v2_communication.pdf :

On a SmashTV board Core R4d, do we still have to add an 1N4148 (to all core) and 1k resistor connection to J2 on the main core between D3 of J15 and Vd of J2 (which is already connected in the PSU optimized schema) between all the core modules ? If not what is the connection to make ?

Yes, these changes are specific to MIDIbox SID usage so they were not incorporated into the Core PCB.

The resistor can be connected to any "Vd" or +5V connection, it doesn't have to be from J2.

Similarly, the diode and resistor can connect to the PIC pins instead of the J15 pins which those pins connect to.

So you can put the diode and resistor under the PIC instead.
