JRock
I had a little trouble locating the W04 bridge rectifier. I ended up ordering the one listed on SmashTV partslist (I think) for the SID module board. I ordered a W08 800v. Will that work? I had trouble finding the right one @Mouser cuz I don't understand exactly what qualities I'm looking for in a bridge rectifier. I mostly understand what they do but everything I've worked on so far has been DC. I'm still very much a beginner so If I screwed up please let me know and help me to understand what exactly to be looking for. Will the BR in the commodore work? Thanks
Wilba
I think most bridge rectifiers have voltage/current ratings far higher than what you'll ever use for a MIDIbox. You should be OK using anything you can salvage from a C64, as it handles 9V AC 1A input. Just pay close attention to the pinout, as incorrect wiring might result in a diode "shorting" your input power.
