samy1024X Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) I made a new account because somehow I don't have the permissions to start a new topic with my previous account (samy1024). So finally I started to build my MBSID V2 after some time. Currently it only has one core connected to one sid module. After days of troubleshooting everything works fine except for the display. I connected it like described here (http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_lcd_dog_mios8.pdf), added this (http://www.ucapps.de/mios/lcd7_dog_v1a.zip) driver module, but I can't get it to work, it just turns on. I also tried to add the initialization code to the USER_INIT part in the main.inc and changed the line addresses like I got told in a topic I started with my old account 3 years ago. What did I do wrong? Do I have to select it to run in 4-bit mode manually (WHERE?) and do I have to connect all data wires (D0-D7) or only D0-D3, I tried both and I'm not sure. Thank you in advance for your help. PS: Because I didn't get Brenner5 to work, I modified Brenner0 (added a 5V switch and didn't ground MCLR) and burned my PIC18F4685s using winpicpgm and it works! I always turned the programmer on only with 12V connected and quickly closed the 5V bridge after I clicked to burn the PIC. I also did it the same way to read and verify the PICs.
