mongrol Posted April 22, 2017 Report Posted April 22, 2017 Is there a way to Note On a step and not retrigger it when the track loops around? I'm trying to get a long drone going and the retrigger is wrecking the evolvingness of my patch. I'd like a note "on" and then left alone.
latigid on Posted April 22, 2017 Report Posted April 22, 2017 Did you try fiddling with the Glide trig layer?
mongrol Posted April 23, 2017 Author Report Posted April 23, 2017 No I didn't, but will try that next. Between the SEQ and the various legato/port settings on my Ambika it all started getting a bit out of control and then as usual, the tune morphed into something completely different. :)
latigid on Posted April 24, 2017 Report Posted April 24, 2017 Some other ideas: make the track divider very long, so the retrigger occurs after a longer time set the gate length to full (glide), wait for the step to play then remove the step (or mute the track?). Perhaps the note off event will not be sent in this case.
jjonas Posted April 24, 2017 Report Posted April 24, 2017 You could also try if using an Nth1 parameter layer helps. See Beginner's Guide, section 3.2.11. Nth1 and Nth2.
