Floorboard Sourcecode Help

I have built the floorboard and would like to adapt it for use with my echoplex. I was able to change the keyboard setting in the sourcecode but beyond that I know nothing. I got someone to help compile and then burn the chip but I understand the sourcecode needs to be written or changed to allow the floorboard to work exactly as it does when sending program changes. I want it to send note on /off messages and still function with leds. This would mean I would be able to send note on/off messages 1 to 128 by selecting the decade and then pushing a button. The led would show which number button I had pushed. I don't even know if this can be done. I had a gas building the floorboard and am now feeling totally lost. I would like to find someone who could do this for me in trade for ah ah ah ..... a case of Canadian maple syrup.
