dome Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 I got an LCD tooken from an electronic agenda genius op 9300 It's quite big ...about 93*39 mm visible area. Can i use it for a midibox64e project? how to connect it? it has 20 pin connector and no specifications or simbols on it.It also has 4 chips on the other side.maybe you can give some drivers that are ok for this display.or tell me from where i can get them? NEED HELP PLS! thanx
Guest psytron Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 i think the first thing to do would be to find the data sheet for the screen(hint try the manufacturer).
dome Posted April 3, 2004 Author Report Posted April 3, 2004 i have searched all over for a data sheet but whitout any result. Is there any other way to check if my display works with the PIC?
Guest psytron Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 i have no doubt that the lcd could work with a pic.however finding out the instruction set and making a driver for it could be a huge task. on the other hand it may use the same protocol as a supported lcd.if you dont know you dont know ???
dome Posted April 4, 2004 Author Report Posted April 4, 2004 so...i`ve better make the core module and connect the display ,then check all the drivers
arumblack Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 but without the datasheet, connecting the display could be difficult, and connecting improperly *may* damage the display. Are there any markings on the chips on the back? try searching for those, one should be the controller.
dome Posted April 4, 2004 Author Report Posted April 4, 2004 the chips have no markings , they are round black pills.on the pcb's corner it's a code :VBT-D-8V01V 94V-0and on a sticker it's wrote : H26 02879
