Lall Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Hi all,I've been busy these last weeks with the AL3201 chip from Alesis (now Wavefront semiconductors). This chip which can handle reverb, chorus and the likes is a perfect companion to the AL3101 of our Miss Parker project.I'm at a point where the AL3101 and AL3201 run together and I've processed some SID sounds with this chip combination. I think it's a quite nice solution for digital effectorization of the SID...You can find from the Web page how the whole thing is connected together. Even though I haven't done that, I'm pretty sure one could make quite easily a DIY board containing the AD/DA, AL3101 and AL3201 chips. If you want elaborate control over the effects, a micro will be required otherwise simple EEPROM connected to the AL3101 containing pre-defined effects and the pre-defined effects of the AL3201 can make the job...The sound samples are available from this page: http://www.axoris.be/MissParkerPlus.htm.Best regards,Lall Quote
