Guest wheverly Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Does anyboy make a dout board that includes the darlingtons? Quote
moebius Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Hi,Well, for interfacing DOUT with darlingtons, see MIDIO128 page: http://www.ucapps.de/midio128.htmlThere's schematics example for connecting ULN2803 darlington array to DOUT.Bye, Moebius Quote
Guest wheverly Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 I have read that. What I want to know is if anyone is offering boards or kits for the darlington arrays or possibly a dout board that includes the darlington arrays on the same board. Quote
moebius Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Sorry.. - No boards or kits offered - I haven't even seen a ready made pcb layout for that. Maybe someone working midification projects has done it.But the circuit is pretty simple, so it's easy top build on so called "veroboard" (board with holes in raster and copper strips)Bye, Moebius Quote
Guest wheverly Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 hi,Thanks. I think the whole dout with the darlington array could be wire wrapped fairly easily. Just thought if there was a PC board available it would look neater.Bill H Quote
Guest wheverly Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Hello again,While on the subject of the dout module, I notice that there are 220 ohm resistors in series with each output. I assume they are there for current limiting and probably not necessary if the 74HC595's are connected to the darlington arrays. Is this correct? Thanks, bill h Quote
moebius Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 As in an example schematics on MIDIO128 page - the one you've already read - yes ;)Bye, Moebius Quote
