Guest wo
Hey there,I'm currently trying to finish my JDM programmer. I was missing the two BC547 transistors, so I went to one of my school's electronic lab to pick up the missing parts.Unfortunately, they didn't have any BC547 transistor left, but they gave me two BC537 transistors. They assured me that this would do the trick. Since I'm not an expert, and they don't know what I was assembling, I'm forwarding the question here just to be sure. Thanks in advance,
jdutcher
don't know if this helps you or not:http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/BC/BC547.pdfhttp://www.datasheetarchive.com/download.php?pi=230053if it does work, it looks like you might need to put it in backwards (pins are reversed)
Guest wo
Thanks a lot for underlining the pin reversal, I wouldn't have guessed ;)It looks like the BC537 can run at higher voltages than BC547, and can take far more current. I may be wrong since it's the first time I really have to read technical documentation about eletronic parts. So, here's to sum up for anyone interested :(First value is for BC537, Second for BC547)Vcbo: 60V 50VVceo: 60V 45VVebo: 6V 6VIc : 1A 100mAIcm : 1.5A Thanks a lot for everything jdutcher, back to the iron now :p
