Guest analouge
I'm not really sure where to put this post, but I gather this is a good place since it's software related - at least I think :P.I will try to make this as short as possible. My equipment is:- Roland E-500 keyboard- Korg DS-8 (i think the name is ds-8 - or at least ds - something - I always forget that one... :P)- An old Steinberg paralell midi-interface I got almost for free- A homemade rackPC with SB Live 5.1 digital (for using soundfonts)- Almost-ready MBSID with 4 SIDs.- ZoomPlayer 2020 guitar DSP.- An old yamaha sound moduleOn gigs:- Masterkeyboard: Roland E-500- Slave 1: Korg DS-8- Slave 2: Yamaha sound module- Slave 3: SID - soon to come- I also control the soundfonts via the onboard MIDI I/O on the SB.In adition to just being used as a plain masterkeyboard, the E-500 contains a lot of nice organs and pianos. But picking the instrument, adjusting the dsp the way I want etc is relative time consuming when u have little time - like on a gig. What I need is a "preset-program" on the PC. A program with a list that contains all the original patches in the E-500. Then a list of my own patches. Now - them patches cannot be changed like in a synth of course, but I can apply the DSP. My list should contain info about the following:- Patch in use- Effect in use- Amount of effect- Leslie on / off- Leslie speed (fast / slow)etcI want to be able to select a preset I have made before simple and quick instead of tweaking it on the actual keyboard - then just sysx it back to the keyboard. that's the idea.I'm sure there is a program out there that can be used for this purpose, but I have never seen it... After all I'm stuck with the Digital Orchestrator Plus from Voyetra... Someone know how I can realize this... Maybe I can program my own preset program, but that would be very difficult since I'm not that good in programming... know a little, but not enough. It's maybe difficult to understand what I'm after here - sorry - I'm not that good in explaining things I hardly understand myself :). I hope u guys get the idea. And sorry if this was the wrong place to put the post...Any tips would be very much appreaciated. If someone could explain to me how to wire a midi-setup with the instruments that is mentioned above in the "on gigs" section I would be very happy. I've been playing for 15 yrs now, but I never bothered to learn how to properly wire the instruments together, I just do what seems logical to me, and it works most of the time, but I feel like there's something wrong with the MIDI setup every time... in example... I can't seem to use the masterkeyboard's sounds without fucking up the other MIDI gear... Someone got a link to a toturial or something that explains the basics of MIDI setup etc..?THANKS! for you time! :)Ingebret
