edgemeister Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Hey guys... I'm new here and was wondering if you could help me...I own a line6 flextone3 amp and a line6 hd147 and understand that they both use the same floorboard...However the line6 floorboard i overkill in my opinion as I don't need all the features that are on this board.I understand that there are 36 channels/presets that you can access on the amps when used with th boards as opposed to the 4 on the top of the amp when te floorboard is not in use...Again, I don't have use for 36 channels...I know that you can use the midi ports on the back of the amps to switch cannels the same way i can switch channels on the amp when sat at my pc and so i was wondering if anyone could help me constuct a midi channel switcher that will have 12 footswitches to select between the first 12 channels on the amp when i gig...could someone please help me do this? This is my first time in the midi would however I have made many guitar effect pedals. Thanks guys...John
moxi Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Hi ,probably this project will be a good start for what you plan :http://www.ucapps.de/floorboard.html ;)
edgemeister Posted April 4, 2005 Author Report Posted April 4, 2005 Ok... So assuming I make this device....How can I find out which midi notets correspond to calling up a desired preset?Thanks...John
stryd_one Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 It should be in the MIDI spec for the device. Hope this helps :)
moxi Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 yes ,look for the "MIDI implementation chart" ,and in the manual ,all the program change numbers are the most often listed.
