midi tap tempo control for a line6 amp

Hi guys... I'm a newbie here..

I'm new to midi-based electronics but I have made quite a few guitar stompboxes...

I have a line6 amp with various delays that i can select with a simple digitech floorboard...

I read in the line6 manual that the amp accepts tap tempo signals on midi cc# 64

I want to make a simple box with 1 button that when pressed will transmit cc# 64 to my amp.

I've looked at the flootboard project but it seems to be overkill for my needs and wondering if there was a simpler solution...
