noises from usb hub

  this is the matter :

i use an audio track midi/usb interface and an esi u2a soundcard/usb to interface mididbox and my guitar

but i got noises by toggling the encoders of the midibox trought the sound card ie whenever the midibox sends a midi signal it is captured also by the soundcard as an high frequency noise not a real high level but enough to be considered a problem

has anybody had the same problem? is it  aknown issue or is it due to my usb hub? btw i run everything on an averatec laptop with VIA usb hub

try if the noise still is there when you remove the power supply. my girlfriends' laptop is makes lots of noise with it attached. I've even noticed the lights in the studio getting brighter when she plugs in the power supply  :o
