MBSEQ Ultra Light edition ?

While working on the code changes for the 808 sequencer I've noticed that currently we are missing a truly "ultra light" version of the seq like we've got for many other projects.  This has got me thinking that the changes I've made to create a simple 808 sequencer could be fairly easily adapted to a very simple step sequencer with a minimum of hardware required.  The design I've got in mind would end up very much like a simple analog sequencer, a bit like Frostwave's Fat Controller.  I propose using the function buttons to create shortcuts to selected features that are otherwise only available through menu's..
