Which Shift register should I use

Hi people!

Which shift register should i use for driving the SID chip?

Is it better to use  Shiftregisters with TTL or Cos output?

Is their and difference between 74HC595N and 74HCT595N?

The HCT series are designed to work with itself, and the LS series, or the HC series, where the HC series will not work with an LS series....

Either should be OK, but the HC is recommended.

Oh...thnx for the information cause i ordered some HC"T"165 from Reichelt...they are 6 cent cheaper than the "HC"-ones  ;D  ;D
