Some questions about component parts.

Hi everybody ! I begin to buy components to make my Quad-Sid Box and I have some questions who worry me.

-Can I use BC 547B instead BC 547 (without character) ? Same question with 337B or C instead BC 337.

-Can I use oscillators in HC49 case instead HC18 ?

-Can I replace 330nF ceramic caps by Polyester caps -little rectangular capacitor in yellow case- ?

-What are Styroflex caps ? Are they just Polystyrene Film capacitors or... ?

Thank you !  :)

And thank to TK and all DIY builders.  ;)

Yes, for our purposes all the suffix's work the same.  Get the cheap ones.

Can you give me a link to the spec sheet for "HC49"?  I'm not familiar with it.  The circuit will prolly still work just fine, but you may have trouble stuffing the board.

Yes, polyester is a higher quality cap.  Higher quality than you need, so don't buy more for this purpose.

Sounds like a brand name.  Your guess is as good as mine, google around a bit.

I've found this datasheet ...but i still don't see the real difference beetween them. Well, today I've ordered my components, so...we'll see wednesday if I make a good choice. :)

Yes. I can't find them locally, and have substituted ceramic capacitors until I find some...
