davidv Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Hiive got two SB16's (CT2290 , CT2740) with this chip on it:is that Creative's version of the OPL3/OPL4 or something else?Could the DACs already be on that chip?
fluke Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 That would most likely be an ASIC with an OPL3 core inside. The DAC could be inside, outside or it could use a non-YAC512 DAC.
