legasafe Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 Hi there, I'm running a Pro Tools HD system with an AWS900, as part of a recent project I am looking to expand the chassis of my console to fit eight extra faders to control Pro Tools. Is it currently possible to build a system of eight fader control (faders only, no pan etc.. required) over Pro Tools? If it is, could somebody talk it through with me, or perhaps point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot guys (Sorry if I've come across as a total newbie to this.. I am!) Quote

moxi Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 i think that you can build a MIDIbox LC, with just the controls you need, as the original Mackie HUI is supported by pro-tools, and i suppose that the Logic Control and the Mackie HUI use the same protocol.maybe i'm wrong, so, if someone know exactly what are the difference between this two devices.... PostSoundinLA Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Another option if your time is somewhat valuable and you aren't looking to build it from scratch would be to buy faders and a CPU board from JL-Cooper. Their MCS-3000 line has Mackie HUI emulation, and you could build your own enclosure if you get the pieces from them. Just a thought.-Evan Quote
Preben.Friis Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 You should be able to use the MidiBox MM (MotorMix) emulation with all versions of PT. (You just need to download the drivers from digidesign sepeately).Best regards/Preben Friis Quote
