cooler_hun
hellowe seem to have a strange problem here with our brand new Midibox. the usb module is working properly on most computers: i tried it on 2 win-xp based desktop machines, and it recognises it well as "usb audio device" and all midi ports are availableit also works on my macbook with OSX.But it fails to recognise my precious device while running windows XP SP2 on my macbook. the device doesn't show up in device manager list, and neither in sound, midi ports. tried to add keys in registry editor, or at least to find the device itself, but it's not there.anyone experienced this problem so far?i'm so disappointed, i have to use this for perfoming liveacts on the mac...please help :(thanks, coolerBitlab Records, Hungary
audiocommander
You could also go and buy a USB-Midi Device for 25 EUR to connect your MidiBox to...
stryd_one
Did you change to a non-ACPI motherboard when installing winxp on the mac? I know nothing about macs or certainly running xp on them, but if it isn't being detected, ACPI could be to blame... You should turn that crap off for a DAW anyway :)Or do what AC said ;)
cooler_hun
sorry i was not precise: the device (usb audio device) shows up in the device manager list. but i can't see it in any hosts, and neither in Sounds/audio devices / midi playback. the driver is the same as on my desktop comupter. (checked the files)i'll try a win reinstall.what's that ACPI issue anyway? i don't think i should turn off the power management, as i need to use the macbook unplugged, battery safe mode etc.thanks,András
MRE
XP on the mac is dodgey at best.. I did an install for a friend of mine, and of all things, it couldnt find the sound device (nor the batter monitor hardware for that matter). All I can say is.. do a diliberate forced install of device drivers (audio, midi, and whatever driver you are using for midi-box). Maby it will show up?
