mios hangs on "bootup"

hello -

i'm suddenly stuck with a nasty little problem.  things were going great

with the pcbs i ordered from smashtv.  i downloaded the midibox64

app via sysex and had navigating menus on the display with buttons,

etc.  i had just wired up my first bank of knobs and thought i would

try uploading:

  http://www.ucapps.de/mios/jitter_mon_v1_3.zip

to see if it would be useful for debugging them.  instead, everything

hangs.  mios initializes the display and renders the copyright message,

kicks out the sysex message and then stops.  i can't seem to download

a new application to displace whatever evil has overtaken the pic. 

unfortunately i only have 1 midi cable right now so i don't know if there

are useful messages coming back when i try to download.

any tricks that might save me from having to build a pic burner?

hmmmm...this sounds promising:

"The primary loader gets active immediately after power-on for about two seconds. During this time the loader waits for a SysEx command which initiates a flash write. If this command is not received, the loader deactivates itself and MIOS will be started."

haha!! it worked.  just powered up and hit send immediately afterwords.

problem solved.
