Bootstrap Loader

Hello,

I have burned some 18F452s with the v1.2 bootloader, I then plugged it into MIOS studio and opened the MIDI In window, the sysex message appeared:

F0 00 00 7E 40 70 01 F7

The 70 should be 00 according to MIOS Studio because when I tried to burn the MIOS v1.9 hex file it would not load!

Any Ideas?

Maybe you accidentally burned "70" as the PIC ID.

You can change the device ID with MIOS Studio to "70" and try uploading MIOS.

Then upload the "change id" application.

But it's probably best you work out how you got "70" as the ID.

Tell us about your PIC burner hardware and what software you used to burn the PIC.
